Agri-innovators are being advised to get ready now for Ploughing 2015, with the release of the details of the Ploughing Innovation Awards for this year’s event.
This Falcon forwarder, developed by Darragh Hand, which provides a new solution for harvesting forestry thinnings won the Enterprise Ireland, NPA/Toplink Innovation Award at the National Ploughing Championships last year. The lightweight forwarder with a F40 crane has a 4 tonne load capacity so as to minimise the footprint in delicate growing forestry conditions. The machine came with a list price of €90,000.
