Ireland has the potential to be at the forefront of ag tech that will not just allow farmers to be more profitable but create a new export industry around agriculture.

That was the key message of the AgTech symposium in Tipperary on Wednesday which offered great insight into the future for where agriculture and technology collide in Ireland.

The afternoon consisted of three workshops focusing on bio-economy, automation, smart farming and sensors ,and GM engineering.
