Pig prices have continued to rebound with another 4c/kg increase this week. Prices in the region of €1.49/kg are being quoted to farmers.
The latest increase comes on the back of a 4c/kg rise two weeks ago. Despite this, Irish pig prices have fallen below the EU average.
IFA pig committee chairman, Pat O’Flaherty, has welcomed the increase, but said the Irish price needs to move more in line the EU.
