Ration prices have fallen further across the country due to cheaper cereals feeding into formulations. Price falls of up to €30/t have been reported, although some merchants have only cut prices by €15/t.

There is a big variation across the country. Coarse beef rations can be puchased for €218 to €240/t, with nuts costing €230 to €250/t. Dairy rations are being quoted at €240 to €280/t.

Dairygold is quoting €222 to €248/t for formulated mixes of 16% protein coarse beef rations, with nuts costing €20/t higher. Sixteen percent protein dairy nuts are selling for €250/t.

In the midlands, Grennans are selling 16% beef ration for €250/t and 16% dairy ration for €260/t. Sixteen per cent dairy nuts are quoted at €245/t.

Liffey Mills reported it is bringing prices back a further €6 to €10 this week, after previous cuts earlier in the autumn. Beef ration is selling at anything from €219/t to €240/t.

Dairy rations are quoted between €240 to €248/t.

In Limerick, Roche’s feeds reported a 22% reduction in price over the summer. Beef ration 14% is selling at €240/t, with beef nuts costing an extra €15/t. Sixteen per cent dairy nuts are quoted at €260/t.

Bolgers Feeds in Wexford are quoting €220/t for 16% beef ration while a 16% dairy ration is going for €245/t.

In the north, 20% dairy nuts are selling at anything from £230/t to £245/t. Beef finisher rations are quoted at anything from £182/t to £205/t.
