NI's Agriculture and Rural Development Minister, Michelle O’Neill, has announced the start of a process to appoint a number of members to the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) Board.

AFBI carries out high technology research and development, statutory, analytical, and diagnostic testing functions for DARD and other Government departments, public bodies and commercial companies.

Minister O’Neill said: “There is a need within the AFBI Board for members who have experience in the agriculture or food sectors or in a broader business development environment.

“Additionally, as women are currently under represented on the AFBI Board, applications from female candidates are particularly welcome. This is also in line with my Department’s diversity agenda.”

A candidate information document, including additional information and an application form can be accessed at here. The closing date for applications is 24 October 2014.
