I have been contacted by a range of food suppliers in recent times giving out about retailers they supply.
“Hello money” or “rebates” or “marketing funds” have long been used by retailers, including our old friends Tesco, to extract money from suppliers. I’m reliably informed that some of these retailers have been back looking for a 2% to 3% rebate on produce supplied to them. Currency fluctuations is the excuse this time.
That’s not exactly adhering to the new retail legislation.
