At Mohill Show Rosemead Korona J957 won the Univet All-Ireland Angus Championship trophy for the third year in a row.

The bull is owned by Albert and Jennifer De Cogan, Castlemartyr, Co Cork. It was bred by Englishman Angus Stovold, sired by the Ellin Erroneous C570 son Rosemead Jeronne F673, and is bred from Rosemead Karlotta F657.

The bull was the supreme champion at Tullamore in 2012 and 2013, supreme champion at Balmoral and reserve champion at Tullamore in 2014.

The reserve senior and reserve supreme all-Ireland title was won by the seven-year-old cow Old Glenort Black Bianca G361 from James Porter’s herd, Lisburn, Co Antrim.

The cow was sired by Moss Mr Eshton, who was the Balmoral champion in 2009, and is backed by two generations of home-bred dams going back to Black Bianca of Gilkey. The cow was accompanied by her March-born heifer calf Old Glenort Black Bambie P266, a daughter of the stock bull The Moss Quebec.

The junior championship went to the November 2013 born heifer Liscolvin K895. She was bred by Martin and Geraldine Garvey, Hillstreet, Carrick-on-Shannon.

The Heifer was sired by Netherton Mr Brazilian E377, and is out of the home-bred Liscolvin Hilda, the 2012 all-Ireland junior champion. This one was reserve breed champion at Ballina Show.

Runner-up in the junior championship lineup was Goulding Lancer, a seven-month-old bull from the herd of Matthew and Rita Goulding, from Ballyduff, Tralee, Co Kerry. Sired by Nightingale Dunbar K551, he is bred from Mohill Bella and is a maternal brother to the AI sire Goulding Jumbo King K436.
