Nashville is calling for Galway folk singer Sean Keane. The Galway man has always had a great fondness for country music and this has come more and more to the surface in recent years.

Sean is about to embark on yet another US tour and one of the dates will take him to McNamara’s in Nashville.

“It’s a brilliant venue and I love playing there. You never know what legends will pop in to see the show. There’s a special buzz to the place and I love the laid-back style of so many of the great musicians down in Nashville,” reflects Sean.

The Caherlistrane native, who recently performed a number of shows with Louise Morrissey throughout the Munster region, is very much back in the groove again.

The American tour starts with a date in the Berkley Performance Centre in Boston on Saturday, 6 September.

He plays the Irish Centre in Mineola, Long Island, on Sunday, 7 September. Sean is doing three shows at the Philadelphia Festival on the 11, 12 and 13 September, before heading to Nashville for his gig in McNamara’s. He plays Lexington on 18 September. His final shows of the tour are in Pittsburgh on the 19, 20 and 21, Rocky Mountain on the 24 and 25, and finishing in Floyd on 27 September. Germany beckons at the end of October. CL
