“It is very exciting. It’s a great day to see all of the agricultural people coming together to finally get the report done,” Corbally told the Irish Farmers Journal.
Corbally singled out praise for the chairman of Food Wise 2025, John Moloney, for ensuring that the report was completed.
“We had a fabulous guy in John Moloney chairing the report. The great thing about him is that he just gets things done – John Moloney just cuts to the chase. That’s what this report needed was someone just to drive it forward. He had a commercial brief, there was no politics in it for him,” Corbally added, who was representing Glanbia group managing director Siobhán Talbot.

Corbally also said that Glanbia is ready to grow and expand to meet the targets set out in the report of reaching €19bn in food exports by 2025.
“Last week we were up 19% for milk supply on the same week last year and we will grow where we can once it’s sustainable for our suppliers. We intend to keep a step ahead of where the farmers want us to be. Price is obviously a factor and we can’t control that but we have to make sure there is living for farmers,” Corbally added.
