Amii McKeever is joining Glanbia to fill the new role of channel manager for Glanbia Connect, the company’s online platform for farmers.

With more and more farmers doing business online, her role will be to drive increased uptake and performance from the platform.

McKeever has been in the IFA for 10 years, where she served as the association’s pig committee executive. She also served seven years as the IFA’s poultry committee executive.

She, along with former committee chair Tim Cullinan, drove the IFA’s pig DNA project, which has helped sales of quality-assured Irish pigmeat in the domestic market.

She also wrote the monthly pig league for the Irish Farmers Journal.

A Nuffield scholar, McKeever will be based closer to her home in Kilkenny at Glanbia.

McKeever is the second staff member to depart the IFA in the past two months. Deirdre O’Shea left to take up the role as executive director with Agri Aware.
