A farmer outside Gort, Co Galway is searching for 11 stolen sheep after a theft over the weekend.

Gardaí have confirmed to the Irish Farmers Journal that 11 sheep were stolen from a farm in east Galway over the weekend.

The sheep were taken from the Ballyboy area of Gort, Co Galway on the night of Saturday, 21 October.

No arrests have been made and Garda investigations are ongoing.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the sheep is asked to contact Gort Garda Station on (091) 636 400.
