Well known tractor restoration expert PJ Savage from Cork prepares to start cutting with the huge crowd in the background. PJ brought his 1989 Ford 7810 to the Silage Extravaganza coupled to the 1970’s Kidd double chop. His trailer was a 1970’s Kane single axle trailer and both the harvester and trailer are in original condition.

The Silage Extravaganza 2015 event organised by the Coolmoyne and Moyglass Vintage Club in Tipperary was a resounding success. As well as being attended by close to 7,000 people, there were two machinery records broken.
The other important message of farm safety was highlighted by the fact that all machines were adequately protected and seen to be so.
The day was stage-managed to perfection by a voluntary team, setting a new safety and organisational standard in how these events can be run. The South Tipperary hospice was the other beneficiary, so congratulations to all involved – it is great to see the financial contribution from these events going to a worthy cause.
