Good-quality continental bullocks over 600kg sold mainly from €2/kg to €2.10/kg but the number on offer was reasonably small.
Those from 500kg to 600kg sold mainly from €2/kg to €2.10/kg, with better quality U grades making up to €2.20/kg. Stores from 400kg to 500kg sold from €2.10/kg to €2.20/kg, with U grades making over €2.35/kg.
Heifers
Heifers from 500kg to 600kg sold from €2/kg to €2.20/kg but numbers on offer were low. Heifers from 400kg to 450kg sold mainly from €500 to €600 along with the weight and there were plenty of buyers active.
Weanlings
Light weanling bulls and heifers, were a variable trade, especially for lighter plainer types.
Those from 200kg to 250kg that were not well done sold for around €2/kg to €2.20/kg. Bulls from 300kg to 400kg were a good trade, with plenty of buyers paying from €750 to €850.

Marts return to trading
In the past few days, most marts which have started back have been met with a firm trade.
Supply of cattle has been low, but numbers are expected to start to increase in the coming week. At Headford Mart, bullocks made from €110 to €915 over the weight.
The top bullock weighed 745kg and sold for €1,660. Heifers made from €190 to €565 over the weight, with the top Charolais heifer making €1,070.
Bulls made from €460 to €550 over, while suckler cows made from €1,040 to €1,480.
Cull cows made from €440 to €1250.
