The land market can be fierce.

Whenever a few acres come on the market, you’ll either have the dairy farmer looking to add to his or her grazing platform or the tillage farmer looking for even a bit of conacre without the maps to get a few more tonne on the other end.

Well, I see a healthy 8.64-acre plot has some up in south Dublin. At the foot of the Wicklow mountains, the land is naturally dry and would make great land for any farmer.

The only problem might be that the stars would be nothing to do with the BDGP and the noisy neighbours might not be too keen on slurry being spread.

The land is part of the RTÉ campus. It goes on sale on Wednesday 22 March with a guide price of €75m. That’s a snip at €8.68m per acre. Savills is handling the sale in case you’re interested.
