Met Eireann has issued a status orange wind warning for the country with winds gusts of 100km/h to 130km/h forecast up to 3pm on Sunday. The high winds are a result of storm Clodagh passing eastwards to the north of Ireland on Sunday.

The winds will moderate later on Sunday afternoon and evening although heavy rain and showers, some thundery, will become more scattered as the day progresses. Highest temperatures 9 to 13 degrees.
