Stolen John Deere recovered in Kells

Gardaí in Kells, Co Meath, have recovered a stolen John Deere 6930 tractor, worth over €60,000, that was stolen from a Scottish agricultural contractor in November of last year.

The tractor was cloned against another similar tractor sold to a Norwegian farmer and its true identity was uncovered by the Garda Stolen Vehicle unit.

The gardaí reiterate their advice to farmers to be cautious in accepting tractors and machinery at very keen prices and urge farmers to buy only from reputable sources.
