The 9115 is part of a new, three-model Maxima series of 9105, 9115 and 9125.The Maxima uses a Fiat derived engine with turbocharger and intercooler to develop 115hp. Transmission is a Carraro 24 x 24 speed unit with mechanical shuttle and 40kph top speed.
Among the many items on Connacht Agri stand was the engine powered yard scraper on the left and single-cow milking unit on the right, or bucket-plant as it might be called. The yard scraper retails for €1,140 inc vat while the milking unit retails for €900 inc vat. The latter is made in Turkey and a two-cow unit is also available.

Both feature weather proof, lockable lids, strap-over points, two way forklift access points, and 12v or 24v 50 litre/min electric pump. Prices typically start from around €650 plus vat.
Among the Polaris products on Tommy Randles of Trackland’s stand was the new Polaris Sportsman Ace. This is an atv with conventional seat, flat floor and protection frame. A roof and windscreen offer some protection from the elements. Available as a 320cc or 570cc machine, prices are expected to start at somewhere between €9,000 and €10,000 plus vat.
McHale Plant Sales brought its latest Komatsu shovel, the WA320-7 to Millstreet. Featuring the latest Tier 4 interim engine technology, fuel economy is boosted by 10% according to the manufacturer. Lift capacity is increased by a similar amount on the new shovel.
Co. Cavan firm Agrigear doesn’t just supply new tyres and new wheel rims, including manufacturing wheel rims, it also provides a refurbishment and repair service of used wheel rims. Rims are shot blasted and inspected for cracks and damage, which if found is repaired. Rims are then power coated in the colour specified by the customer. The service is available through its agents country-wide and price of the service starts at around €250 plus vat (not including removal &refitting of tyres).
Kuhn’s new FB2135MkII baler was in Millstreet incorporates many changes. These include driveline upgrades, 18 rollers instead of 14, rollers are now all driven on one side, larger roller bearing are used, there is a new netting system, faster tailgate and an extra tine bar in the pickup.
