With a new book, The Summer Guest, on the shelves, author Emma Hannigan is busier than ever. With interviews, books signings and other promotional appearances, it’s important that the Bray mother-of-two looks the part. Here are three of her favourite looks. Outfit 1: This dress is Max Mara bought a few years ago for around €350 teamed with a faux leather jacket from Penneys costing a mere €20! I love to mix and match more expensive pieces with fun cheaper things. It means the classic pieces can be used again and again by rejuvenating them with fresh accessories.

Outfit 2: This dress is by French Connection and I bought it over five years ago. I think it cost around €250 but I've worn it to death - I even wore it for my photo on the front cover of my memoir 'Talk to the Headscarf.' It's girly and fun but wearable with high shoes at night or dressed down with white jeans and pumps for day time.
Outfit 3: I adore dresses and I'm a massive fan of Irish designers Fran and Jane. My wardrobe is predominantly filled with their designs. I think they have a wonderful eye for style and of course I love to support our home girls! This dress has a detachable collar and I love it. It cost €229 last season.
