Despite a hectic schedule as an image consultant- plus two young children- Caroline Ryan from Co Limerick still manages to make style look effortless, as is evident from these three looks she shares with Irish Country Living. Outfit 1 | At work

My role as an image consultant is varied and active; on any given day I could be doing a presentation, running around boutiques or de-cluttering a wardrobe, so my clothes need to be smart, comfortable and versatile. I wore this particular outfit whilst working at a recent style event in Vision 2 Opticians, Limerick. Normally I would wear the blazer unbuttoned but it was a blustery day and its cape-like tendencies were ruining the photos! Photo credit: Morning Star Photography.

Outfit 2 | At home with the kids

I have two young children, so my day-to-day wardrobe needs to be casual, comfortable and washable. I opt for simple styles and colours which I can mix and match easily, plus I’m nursing my baby so my clothes must accommodate frequent feedings. (I’ve done a blog post on breastfeeding clothes which you can read on my website.) My day-to-day make-up, if worn, consists of a sweep of blush, lip-gloss and brow gel, and my hair is pinned back into a ponytail or bun. A simple pair of stud earrings, necklace, watch and rings complete the look.

Jeans: Zara €25.95

Trainers: Tommy Bowe Collection for Lloyd & Pryce €40

Outfit 3 | Sunday drive

Sunday involved a family trip to a number of heritage sites in Co Limerick, followed by a meal in a local restaurant. I love the pretty pink tones in this outfit as they remind me of the cherry blossoms currently in bloom. I wore rose-pink suede flat shoes but I reckon that a chic pair of heels would look great heading into evening. Importantly for me, the individual garments are very versatile and can be paired with many other items in my wardrobe. Elsewhere, my hair was styled with the Babyliss ‘Big Hair’ hair-dryer – it’s my holy grail hair tool as it enables me to achieve a bouncy blow-dry that lasts three days!

Blazer: Zara €79.95

Top: Taifun €90

Trousers: Taifun €120

Shoes: Nine West (SS10)

Sunglasses: Ray Ban (SS07)
