Teagasc adviser Pat Blackwell will share his advice in terms of grassland management for sheep farms. Michael Gottstein, head of the Teagasc sheep programme, will talk about the selection of ewes and lambs ahead of the breeding season.

Tara Sheridan, MSD Animal Health, will outline the main vaccination programmes sheep farmers can implement on their farms. Shane Randle from Sheep Ireland will go through the requirements sheep breeders need to follow participating in LambPlus and he will share information on the €uroStars.

Finally, selection of lambs for the home and export market will be covered by Frank Burke from Ashgrove Meats, Newcastle West. The organisers say this is a super opportunity for farmers to see a well-run commercial and pedigree Texel flock in operation.
