The Barclay/Bottle Green Grand Prix on Friday last at Balmoral came down to a tightly timed 10-horse jump-off that produced no double clears.

But with the least amount of time faults, Egypt’s Sameh El Dahan on Joanne Sloan-Allen’s Suma’s Zorro was around in 54.52 to pick up just a single penalty for the win. By VDL Douglas out of Vixen’s Frolic, this 11-year-old mare well deserved the win.

With just two time faults, Enniskillen rider Catherine Thornton led from the start on the stallion Derryinver Luxury Cruise by Lux Z out of a Cruising mare but had to settle for second.

Daniel Coyle won the Rydale Power and Speed on the Concorde mare Uptown Girl.

Edward Butler moved up a place from last year to take the AON Accumulator on Caugherty by Limmerick, and Dean Rogan won the Danco International on Falco van Spleveld.

The other two internationals went to British riders Robert Bevis in the Two Phase and Laura Robinson who took the Conolly Mills Spectacular.

The Botanica Amateur International was won by Dean Cotton on Coolde Castaway.
