Pray, stay and enjoy some good country music could well be the central theme of a journey planned for Knock on 4 November.

TR Dallas and a large contingent from the midlands will undertake a special visit to Knock and Claremorris for what promises to be a lovely occasion.

TR has accompanied the Moate and region annual pilgrimage to Lourdes for the past 20 years. This time, because of the natural advancement in age profile of some members, it was decided to look nearer home and TR came up with the idea of an evening trip to Knock Shrine and overnight stay in the area.

“We were thrilled with the positive feedback and so many thought it was a great idea with very little hassle of any kind or major cost factor. Around 150 are already due to travel and we welcome people from all over the country to join us for this special celebration,” says TR.

The group will attend mass in the Apparition Chapel at 5pm, where singer James Kilbane will join them. Evening dinner will be served in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris, followed by a night of music and dance in the ballroom. The following morning, there will be mass in the hotel or you can return to Knock for mass at the Shrine.
