A surge in tractor sales west of the Shannon has helped underpin overall sales in 2016.
According to FTMTA figures, the number of tractors sold in 2016 is up by just four units compared with the same period in 2015. Despite substantial sales increases in the west, there has been a dramatic drop-off in higher horsepower tractors from counties in the east. To the end of Ocotber, 1,820 units have been sold. The most popular horsepower range is 101hp to 120hp.
