Training courses in October

FTMTA will offer two training courses in October, aimed at those working in the parts and services areas of the farm machinery industry.

Both courses have been developed over a number of years specifically for the farm machinery sector by Jim Clohessy, who will also deliver the courses.

As well as providing industry-specific training services to the FTMTA, Jim has worked in the sector and consulted to farm machinery businesses for many years.

Jim is a practical and results orientated trainer and course participants find his distinctive, high-energy style beneficial in transferring the course content into the performance of their daily roles.

The parts profit management course will run over three consecutive Tuesdays – 6, 13 and 20 October.

The aim of the course is to develop a “best-in-class” parts department that is positioned to deliver the maximum value within the overall business.

This has been a popular course in the past and we have had a number of requests from members to hold it again this year.

The best practice service department course will be held over two consecutive Wednesdays – 7 and 14 October.

The objective is to define, demonstrate and explain the roles and systems within the service department in line with best industry practices. This course ran in May for the first time in a number of years and was well received by the participants.

Further information and a booking form for both courses can be accessed on the homepage of the association’s website at www.ftmta.ie or by contacting Michal Fahy in the FTMTA office on 045-409309 or at membership @ftmta.ie.

Both courses are open to member and non-member firms of the association.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications for both courses is Friday 18 September.
