Siloking Kverneland has introduced a duo mixer range to the market this year. These are heavy-duty machines with an impressive build quality. The new range of twin-auger mixers starts at 14m3 capacity and goes all the way up to 30m3 capacity.

Differences from previous version

Siloking claims that the mixing time is reduced due to the conical shape of the mixing chamber, which results in reduced diesel costs. The company has also developed its own planetary gearbox design to give more torque to the augers for chopping bales.

Siloking has introduced wireless controls that allow communication between the feeder and optional screens in the tractor and loader. The wider axles provide more stability to the mixers. Siloking claims that this increases weighing accuracy and offers more payload. The weigh bar connection is mounted between the chassis and hopper, and not into the frame. The machine comes with a cross conveyor. It will transport the material to either side of the machine. The belt is fitted with new split rubber slats of different heights to ensure transport of the feed material. The rubber slat closest to the discharge door comes with a lower height compared with the slat positioned away from the door. Siloking says this split provides a more even distribution and load of the material across the entire working width of the conveyor belt.
