Most of the country is forecast to see heavy, even thundery, showers on Monday morning but the rain is expected to clear as we go through the afternoon. Temperatures are not expected to reach higher than 19 degrees Celsius. However, heavier spells of rain are being forecast for late evening and into Monday night.
The picture remains broadly similar for Tuesday with heavy spells of rain in place but the weather is expected to improve from Wednesday onwards. Showers will remain in places but there will be fewer spells of rain.
Thursday and Friday will see temperatures rise to above 20 degrees Celsius although the west and north west could see some rain at times on Friday.
