Met Éireann has predicted that it will be dry and sunny in most places this afternoon although it might be locally misty on some northwestern coasts.

Inland and western areas will see highest temperatures of 15C to 19C, although it will be cooler along coasts affected by onshore east to northeast breezes, with values of 13C or 14C.

Tonight will be dry, with good clear periods, but mist and fog will develop. Cold, with grass frost. Minimum temperatures 0 to 4C, in a light easterly or variable breeze.

Wednesday will be another dry day with possibly low cloud in places in the early morning as mist and fog clears.However, the cloud should burn off with good sunshine developing.

It will be warmest away from exposed coasts with maximum temperatures of 14C to 19C. Winds will be mostly light, easterly or variable, but fresh near southern and southeastern coasts.

Wednesday night will be dry, with good clear intervals in most areas. But it will also be cold, with a risk of grass frost and some mist or fog patches. Minimum temperatures will be 2C to 5C.

Thursday will see most areas dry, with some bright or sunny spells, but cloudy periods also. A few showers may occur, especially in the south and southwest. Maximum temperatures will be 13C to 18C, coolest on exposed coasts, with mostly light south to southeast or variable breezes.

Later on Thursday more persistent rain will develop in the southwest, spreading northeastwards on Thursday night and Friday morning.

So far the outlook for Friday is mostly cloudy, with rain in many areas at first. However brighter weather, with scattered showers, will follow from the southwest during the day. Maximum temperatures of 12C to 16C, in a moderate south to southwest wind.
