Heavy rain is forecast on Wednesday and is to continue in the east for a time on Wednesday night.

The warning has been issued for Munster, Leinster, Cavan and Monaghan.

Rainfall totals between 25-35mm are forecast.

The warning is in place from Wednesday until 3am on Thursday morning.
