The weather this weekend will be a mix of dry and showery spells, according to Met Éireann. Saturday will be mainly dry with sunny spells and light breezes.

However, there will also be a few showers, mainly in the west and north and persistent rain will develop in the southwest in the evening. Temperatures will be between 15 and 18 degrees.

Although Sunday will start off wet, the rain will gradually clear to the north by mid-afternoon. A mix of bright spells and showers will follow, and some of the showers will be heavy.

Highest temperatures on Sunday will be between 14 and 19 degrees.

Outlook

The outlook for the following week is mixed, with showers dominating Monday and Tuesday's forecast and temperatures ranging between 14 and 19 degrees. The weather is due to improve after that, with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday looking mainly dry with only the few odd showers.
