Met Éireann is forecasting largely dry and clear conditions for Friday night. However, some showers will persist along western counties. Minimum temperatures of 6°C to 10°C are expected in fresh southwesterly winds.

On Saturday, it will be cloudy in Munster and south Leinster with patchy rain possibly turning persistent in southern coasts. It will be predominantly dry elsewhere with bright spells and a few scattered showers. Rain will then move eastwards on Saturday night and turn heavy in places.

Sunday will begin wet and windy with outbreaks of rain pushing northeast across the country. There could possibly be some heavy falls in northern counties. However, rain looks set to clear quickly eastwards in the afternoon to leave a mix of sunny spells and well-scattered showers. There will also be strong southerly winds which will veer southwest to west and remain strong and gusty.
