The outlook for the weather this weekend is mostly positive, with dry weather expected to dominate both Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday will be generally dry but some showers will develop along eastern and southern coastal areas through the day. Highest temperatures of 11°C to 13°C.

Saturday night will be breezy, with a mixture of clear spells and cloudy periods. There will be a few showers about, but most places will remain dry. Lowest temperatures will range from 4°C to 8°C.

Sunday will be a cool and windy day, with fresh and gusty easterly winds, which will be quite blustery in southern and Irish Sea coastal areas. Many places will stay dry, with some sunny spells at times, but some showers are likely to affect eastern parts of Ulster and Leinster. Highs of 11°C to 13°C are expected.

Later in the day, or overnight, some rain may well affect the south Munster and south Leinster coasts, where the winds will pick up further, but it will remain dry elsewhere, except for a few showers.
