There will be some sunny spells today, but it will be generally cloudy. Misty, wet weather will develop over parts of Ulster and Connacht this afternoon, with the rain turning persistent and heavy later. There will be some drizzle and mist elsewhere too, mainly this evening, but much of east Munster and south Leinster should hold dry for the day. Top temperatures today will range from 17°C to 22°C.

Tonight will be humid and misty, with widespread patches of rain, drizzle and fog. There will be some persistent rain along the northwest, north and parts of the west coasts. There will be some dry spells too, best in eastern areas.

Saturday

Saturday will be warm, humid but quite breezy. It will be rather cloudy and misty in the main, with some rain and patches of fog in northern and western areas. It will be drier elsewhere until evening, when the rain will become more widespread, with some bright or sunny spells developing. Top temperatures Saturday will range from 17°C to 20°C., in northern and western areas and 21°C to 24°C elsewhere. Fresh and gusty south to southwesterly winds will be strong at times in some Atlantic coastal areas.

Sunday

Sunday will be mostly dry and bright. There will be sunny spells in all areas, but some build-up of cloud at times too. Top temperatures will range from 17°C to 21°C with moderate westerly breezes throughout the day.
