In this week's podcast, we hear from farmers at the IFA's Brexit event, an eyewitness to the latest wildfire in Co Cork and New Zealand's agriculture minister.
The IFA held a conference on Brexit for farmers on Monday at Goffs in Kill, Co Kildare. Deputy news editor Caitríona Murphy spoke with some of the farmers in the audience.
The event was hosted by IFA president Joe Healy, who also marked one year in office this week. He looks back on the past 12 months with news correspondent Amy Forde.
European Commissioner for Agriculture Phil Hogan was in Ireland earlier this week and he said the Commission would decide on its proposal for the future of glyphosate this Wednesday. We now know that this has been postponed, but his position remains for a long-term authorisation. He spoke with Amy Forde.
This week’s Irish Country Living has a special feature on home care, including a selection of cheap, clever devices that can make a difference in the life of a person with reduced ability. Ciara Leahy shares her findings with Laura Roddy.
