Another warning is in place for Cavan and Monaghan, with snow showers with accumulations of 2 or 3 cm forecast tonight.

Rain and sleet will move across the country from the northwest. High areas of Ulster and Leinster are at risk of snow, with temperatures dropping to zero.

Friday will be cold and breezy with showers of rain and hai. Sleet will form on high ground.
