It is now up to the individual co-ops within Carbery– Drinagh, Barryroe, Lisavaird and Bandon – to decide if they will follow suit. Last month, all four implemented Carbery’s 1.5c/l increase for August.
So far, Glanbia, Lakeland and Kerry group have raised milk price for September, a sign of Irish co-ops’ growing confidence in the upturn of the much-troubled dairy market.
