Cattle numbers were in a similar position to last week in Bandon today. There was 260 bullocks on offer offer and of these there was a large percentage of Friesians on offer. The more traditional British Friesians broke the €2/kg and many making over €1.90/kg. thinner framed Holsteins sold well too back to the €1.70 to €1.80/kg mark.
Over all Friesian prices ranged from €250 to €550 with their weight.

Calf numbers were similar to last week with 1140 calves sold. Friesian bull calves were dear and sold from €130 to €240. Friesian heifer calves sold from €120 to €360 . Hereford and Angus bulls prices were up and made from €180 to €400 and Hereford and Angus heifer calf prices ranged from €150 to €350. Continental calves sold from €250 to €480 for bulls with heifers making from €230 to €390.
Dry cow numbers were up on last week with 160 on offer. Trade was similar to recent weeks.
