Other dairy commodities

Other commodities in the EU have also performed well.

Skimmed milk powder (SMP), whole milk powder (WMP) and cheddar all increased average price across the EU by the following;

  • WMP increased by 4.9% to €3,058.
  • SMP increased by 2.2% to €1,814.
  • Cheddar increased by 2.5% to €3,574.
  • GDT

    The GDT posted a marginal decline of 0.4% at this week’s auction in New Zealand.

    The benchmark dairy index recorded its second negative result for August as declines in the price of whole milk powder (WMP), butter and anhydrous milk fat dragged performance.

    SMP saw a marginal rise of 0.3% having experienced declines in the three previous auctions.
