Chair of Ornua Aaron Forde confirmed the development at the Lismullen Farming Conference on Friday.

In statement to the Irish Farmers Journal, a spokesperson for Ornua, formerly the Irish Dairy Board, confirmed that the five graduates had been refused entry.

The spokesperson added that the five people were not refused entry as a result of President Donald Trump’s administration but as part of a wider tightening of visas into the US which has been an issue for some time.
