Prices ranged mainly from £2.07/kg to £2.15/kg for average quality lots.
There was strong demand for heifers also, and prices ranged from £1.96/kg for a 510kg Charolais to £2.14/kg for a 460kg Limousin. Average-quality lots saw prices range in general from £2.00/kg to £2.05/kg.

Monday’s sheep sale saw another good trade. Store lambs sold to £73 while ewe lambs sold to £94 per head. Breeders sold to £160.
Average-quality store prices ranged mainly from £64 to £69/ head. Ewe lamb prices ranged mainly from £72 to £94.
Friday’s sale saw an entry of 400 weanlings. Prices of heifers over 350kg ranged mainly from £1.90/kg to £2.10/kg, while types from 300kg to 350kg sold from £1.90/kg to £2.43/kg. Bulls in the same weight range sold from £2.30/kg to £2.60/kg with those from 350kg upwards averaging at about £2.25/kg.
