Some 96,200 farmers have applied for their BPS online, Minister for Agriculture said one week ahead of next Wednesday's midnight deadline. This compares with over 123,000 applicants last year.
Minister Creed announced two additional BPS clinics next Tuesday and Wednesday, completing the list of remaining farmer assistance events as follows:
Thursday 9 May, 9am-3pm: The Manor Hotel, Ratass, Tralee, Co Kerry.
Friday 10 May, 9am-3pm: The Ard Rí Hotel, Milltown Road, Tuam, Co Galway.
Monday 13 May, 9am-3pm: The Great National South Court Hotel, Raheen, Limerick
Tuesday 14 May, 9am-5pm: Department offices, Derryhallagh, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.
Wednesday 15 May, 9am-5pm: Department offices, Farnham Street, Cavan.
Farmers visiting a BPS clinic are advised to bring their 2019 BPS pack including land summary and maps, and a valid form of photo ID.

The Department's office on Abbeyleix Road in Portlaoise, Co Laois and the phone help desks will also open for extended hours as follows:
9am-5.30pm until this Friday.
9.30am-5pm on Saturday 11 May
9am-9pm on Monday 13 May and Tuesday 14 May
9am-12am on Wednesday 15 May.
