Donegal’s Ivan Scott and Northern Ireland’s Jack Robinson from Claudy in Derry have qualified for the prestigious world machine shearing final in New Zealand which will commence this morning.

The six qualifiers for the machine shearing final are: John Kirkpatrick (New Zealand), Gavin Mutch (Scotland), Nathan Stratford (New Zealand), Ivan Scott (Ireland), Jack Robinson (Northern Ireland) and Hamish Mitchell (Scotland).

Scott has being making waves in recent days claiming third prize in the World Speedshear competition and finishing sixth in the All Nations World Sheep Shearing Final.

On Friday evening, Scott and his Irish team mate Stanley Alingham represented Ireland in the world teams machine shearing final.
