Aberdeen Angus cattle were stolen from a farm on the Tiroony Road in Carrickmore, Co Tyrone last Thursday evening (6 April).

Police say that the nine bulls and eight heifers were taken sometime between 8.30pm on Thursday and 9am the following morning.

Sergeant Ryan McConville has appealed for anyone with information to come forward: “We would be particularly keen for the driver of a tractor and trailer who was seen in the area between 2.00 and 3.00am on Friday morning to get in touch with us,” he said.

Meanwhile, police in Limavady, Co Derry are continuing to investigate the theft of 12-15 Friesian cattle in the Eglinton/Greysteel area between Saturday 18 March and Sunday 19 March.

The cattle were taken from the yard of a residential premises during the night.
