It will be very cold tonight, with clear spells and slack winds according to Met Eireann. A hard frost will form, with ice on untreated roads. Some pockets of fog will form locally also. Lowest temperatures 1°C to -2°C.

It will be cold on Saturday morning, but the frosty and locally foggy conditions will clear gradually, to give a dry, bright day, with a mix of sunny spells and cloudy periods. Top temperatures will range from 6°C to 10°C. Moderate southwest breezes will increase fresh and gusty along the west and northwest coasts.

It will be cool and misty on Saturday night. There will be some light rain at times over parts of Connacht and west Ulster, but mostly dry elsewhere, with just a few spots of drizzle here and there. Lowest temperatures 3°C to 6°C. Moderate southerly breezes will be fresh along the Atlantic seaboard.

The outlook shows a lot of dry weather for Sunday and Monday with just small amounts of rain. But it will become very unsettled from Tuesday onwards
