Most places will be dry in the morning, but rain and drizzle over southern and western coastal counties will become more widespread during the afternoon and evening, with some heavy bursts in places. Later tonight drier weather, with just scattered showers, will develop over Munster and Connacht later. Lowest temperatures 6°C to 9°C.
Rain and fog are forecast for Saturday morning and most places will have a good deal of dry weather. There will be a mix of cloudy spells and occasional bright or short sunny periods. However, some scattered showers will develop. Top temperatures 11°C to 13°C, maybe 14°C. It will stay mostly dry on Saturday night with clear spells mainly over parts of Leinster. There will be some grass frost locally and temperatures down to 2°C to 4°C. It will become cloudy elsewhere, with lows between 5°C and 7°C. Atlantic coastal counties will see some light rain develop.
Sunday
Eastern areas will be have bright sunny spells on Sunday morning. Overall it will be rather cloudy, particularly in western areas, with hills and coasts most at risk and some drizzle possible elsewhere later in the day. Top temperatures of 10°C to 13°C possibly, 14°C, in moderate to fresh southwesterly breezes. It will be mild and misty overnight, along with some patches of drizzle. Lows of 8°C or 9°C.
