Outbreaks of rain developing across Atlantic counties, very gradually turning more widespread, according to Met Éireann. The rain will be heavy and locally thundery later in the afternoon, especially across the western half of the country. Spot flooding is likely. Some heavy bursts moving further east during the evening hours. Rather warm and humid with some brief sunshine breaking through at times too. Top temperatures will range 18 to 22 or 23 degrees Celsius (west to east). Southerly winds will pick up in strength on the arrival of rain.
