Thundery rain is to be expected on Friday morning over parts of Connacht and Ulster, heading northwards throughout the day. A risk of hail and local downpours has the potential to cause flash flooding.

The south and east coasts have been warned of gusty winds with gale-force forecast for the southeast. Highest temperatures will range from 17° to 19°C.

Saturday

The northern half of the country can expect showers or longer spells of rain. Later in the day and on Saturday night, this rain will extend southeastwards.

Southwest winds will decrease to moderated and northeasterly later in the day. Highest temperatures will range from 17° to 21°C.

Sunday

A nicer day has been forecast for Tuesday, in time for the Tullamore Show. The day will be cool, fresh and mostly dry. Most areas are to expect light, scattered showers.

Highest temperatures will range 14° to 17°C.
