Kerry Group, the international nutrition and flavourings company widely held by dairy farmers in the southwest of Ireland, has seen its shares rally by more than 10% in October.
The gains mean that the company’s share price, at €94.50, is 46% above the lows seen in March of this year and at the highest price since July 2025.
The company recently held an investor day in the US, at which it outlined where it sees its growth opportunities over the coming years.
Kerry’s chief financial officer Marguerite Larkin told investors that the company’s earnings (EBITDA) target for 2030 is between 20% and 21%.
She said this target is “based on the progress we are making and also the opportunity that we see for further margin expansion”.
CEO Edmond Scanlan, speaking at the same event, pointed to the significant growth in Kerry’s product renovation business.
Renovation is the reformulation of a product’s ingredients to either reduce the amount of unwanted components, such as salt or sugar, or increase the amount of other ingredients, while maintaining the taste and texture of the product.
Scanlon said that renovation accounts for greater than half the company’s business pipeline in North America and that he expected further growth over the coming years.
Kerry Group is scheduled to report third-quarter earnings on Thursday 22 October at 7am.
