A spokesperson for Kinisla has confirmed to the Irish Farmers Journal that the processor intends to release its accounts for 2025 ahead of the deadline for farmers to sign up to the new milk supply contract which passes on 4 August.
The spokesperson said: “The accounts are currently with the auditors and it is our intention to have them released in advance of the milk contract deadline.”
The issue of financial information about the processor was raised at information meetings held in Limerick and Tralee on Monday, where attendees said they wanted to see a full set of accounts before they signed up to the contracts which would lock them into supplying Kinisla until 2030.
Kinisla had previously released limited financial information and said its full accounts would not be available until “later in the year”.
At the meeting in Limerick on Monday, Kinisla board member Mike O’Flynn gave an assurance that the accounts would be with suppliers ahead of the 4 August deadline.
Previously, board member Jim McInerney said he would seek to get the accounts published ahead of that date and if they were not available that he would seek an extension to the deadline.
The limited financial data released by Kinisla showed turnover of €1.4bn and earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation of €86.8m for the year ended December 2026.
