Outlier stock garnered a premium of 10c/kg to 20c/kg compared with stock coming from sheds, with grass buyers driving demand for yearling stock. Short-stay older stock were also in demand, with weight for age and quality having a major bearing on price.
Angus and Herefords bullocks sold for between €260 and €640 over the euro per kilo, with continental bullocks making from €325 to €795 with their weight.

Calves
In the calf ring, most Hereford and Angus calves made between €140 up to €245, with a number selling for over €300. Friesian bulls sold from €80 to €190.
A strong aversion to calves from Jersey cross herds was evident, with even continental cross calves from these herds struggling to make over €80.
There was no great change in the cow sale, with demand for well-fleshed stock continuing as it has all spring. Dry cows made from €80 to €585 over the euro per kilo.
The heifer trade was very similar to the bullocks, with animals making from €245 to €645 over the euro per kilo.
