The North Eastern Limousin club is preparing for its Limousin extravaganza event on Saturday 29 August in the Virginia Show Centre, Co Cavan.

Commencing at 4pm, the evening will kick off with the club’s annual young members’ finals and team selection with Marie Louis Ryan as the master judge.

Next up will be the herds competition results, followed by the club’s Megamoo draw and finally, the live pre-selected heifer sale. According to the club, over 200 Megamoo tickets have been sold, with the overall winner getting their choice of the 21 commercial and pedigree sale heifers. The owner of the chosen heifer will receive a whopping €10,000 on the night.

Included in the sale are 16 exceptionally well-bred pedigree heifers and five top-class commercial show heifers, with a number of championship winners from the club’s recent calf finals catalogued.

Bidding will be ringside and online through MartEye and Ballyjamesduff Mart.

Food and drinks will also be served on the night.
